What is TPI?

The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is a movement-based model that links a golfer’s physical profile—mobility, stability, strength and motor control—to swing mechanics and injury risk. Rather than just fixing the swing, TPI asks: “What physical limitations are causing this swing fault or pain?” By identifying and correcting those physical drivers, golfers move better, swing more efficiently, reduce pain, and often add distance and consistency.

Key ideas behind TPI

Golf swing = whole-body chain
Faults usually start from physical limits anywhere in the kinetic chain (ankles → hips → spine → shoulders → wrists).
Screen to find the real blockers
TPI uses validated movement screens + golf-specific tests to pinpoint deficits affecting your swing and increasing injury risk.
Fix the body for your swing
A TPI-trained clinician builds corrective strategies that are swing-compatible (not just generic fitness).

Why TPI Matters
And What You Get

#01

TPI Golf Movement Screen

Full-body assessment using TPI protocols (mobility, stability, sequencing, power). Identifies the physical factors driving your swing faults and injury risk, and sets an objective baseline.

#02

Rehab & Correctives

Targeted mobility, stability, and motor-control drills tailored to your screen results and swing style—built to be swing-compatible, not just “general fitness.”

#03

Manual Therapy

Hands-on treatment for joint restrictions and soft-tissue dysfunction (spine, hips, shoulders), integrated with exercises for durable changes in movement quality.

#04

Swing–Body Match

We match the swing to your body—improving efficiency, consistency, and feel without forcing a one-size-fits-all model.

#05

Injury Prevention & Longevity

Early risk detection + targeted correctives reduce pain and help you play more, longer, and with fewer setbacks.

Marcel

Meet Your Physio

Marcel graduated from the University of Moncton with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology (2005) and earned his physiotherapy degree from Université Laval in 2009. He recently opened a new clinic that operates using the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) model. Using the TPI model, he links physical movement limitations(mobility, stability, strength, and motor control) to help with swing mechanics and reduced injury risk, creating individualized rehab and performance plans for golfers of all levels.

What to Expect in a TPI Physiotherapy Session

Initial session: 60 minutes • Follow-ups: 30–45 minutes

Intake & Goal Setting

5–10 min

We begin with a detailed discussion of your golf goals, injury history, and any areas of pain or limitation. This ensures your session is focused on what matters most to your performance and comfort.
